Born in Philadelphia PA and now residing in Smithville (a suburb of Atlantic City, New Jersey) Andy Lalasis has held TOP positions as staff musician for Steve Wynn’s Golden Nuggett, Ballys Grand, and Merv Griffin’s Resorts Hotel/Casinos as well as having backed-up every major act to have passed thru Atlantic City at one time or another. Long considered a first call bassist for any main act, show, or whatever the occasion may demand, he provides just the right kind of bass playing for each situation.
Andy has made quite a reputation for himself as a musical chameleon - able to blend into any given situation with ease and confidence on a moments notice and deliver the goods. He has studied and gained his expertise with such luminaries as the late greats Al Stauffer, Dennis Sandole, and Manny Albam. He also credits Michael Moore, Joe Federico, and Jimmy Amadie for their guidance and knowledge.
He has toured w/ Pat Martino and stays close to his Jazz roots as much as possible.
